Recruiting MEM Students

MEM students are unique in their ability to connect the dots between engineering and business. As a result, they are regularly offered rotational and leadership development program positions among some of the most well-known companies in the Northeast. If you are interested in connecting with our students, the MEM office is more than happy to help you navigate the process.

Ways to Recruit

Post a position on UConn's internal job board Handshake or attend one of UConn's career fairs. The UConn Career Center provides information on creating and using your employer Handshake account, upcoming career fairs, and other opportunities.

MEM students can also be recruited through the School of Business Career Center, who will work with you to plan student recruitment opportunities such as Career Tuesdays, Case Competitions, and attendance at other special events and career fairs.

In addition, hosting a Senior Design team, partnering with the Manufacturing Club for an activity, or guest lecturing in an MEM course are excellent opportunities for your company to promote career opportunities to our students. In particular, Senior Design sponsorship has proven to be effective because both student and employer spend almost a year working together before committing to a long-term position.

The College of Engineering hosts an annual "engineering-only" career fair.

If you have any questions or would like to share a job posting directly with our students, please contact the program coordinator.
